MR. MARSHALL'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Slow Air (4/4 time) or Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833), renowned for his strathspey compositions. Marshall was Steward of the Household to the Duke of Gordon, an enthusiastic supporter and patron of Marshall’s music.
