"Le 24 Juin" was composed by Québec accordion master Philippe Bruneau [1] (1934-2011), who dedicated the tune to the inhabitants of Québec and to its patron saint, John the Baptist, whose feast day is the 24th of June. The date is a 'national' holiday in Québec .
