Researcher Conor Ward finds versions of the reel in the Leonard-Kernan music manuscript (c. 1844, Abbeyshrule, Co. Longford), and in the c. 1900 music manuscript collection of Terence Reilly (1868-1941, Drumreilly, Co. Leitrim."
