CROSSING THE FIELD. Irish, Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Breathnach (1976) finds this tune related to "The Heather Breeze" family of tunes (see note for "Heather Breeze (1)"). See also Stephen Grier's related but untitled "Reel (101)."

Source for notated version : - the Rice-Walsh manuscript, a collection of music from the repertoire of Jeremiah Breen, a blind fiddler from North Kerry, notated by his student [O'Neill].
