FRIBBLE. AKA - "Fribbler." English, Country Dance Tune (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Fribble" was first published in John Hinton's periodical The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure (Feb., 1750, p. 32). It was republished (with the slightly altered title, "Fribbler") in London publisher John Johnson's Compleat Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (London, 1750, p. 36).
