Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The tune as "Groom, AKA Larry Grogan" was entered into vol. 4 (p. 11) of the mid-19th century music manuscripts of Canon James_Goodman_ (1828-1896), County Cork. The tune is attributed by Goodman (and, later, by Brendan Breathnach) to the 18th century gentleman-piper Walker 'Piper' Jackson, of the townland of Lisdaun, parish of Ballingarry, Aughrim, County Limerick.
