MISS MACLEAN OF DUART. Scottish. Composed by Daniel Dow and first appearing in his c. 1775 collection (p. 19). Gow in his 1788 collection appears to have used the second strain of this melody for his composition "Mrs. Donaldson’s Strathspey (2)."
