MRS. DUFF'S RECOVERY STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune refers to Sarah Louisa Forbes, the wife of Major H.R. Duff, who was probably fiddler-composer William Morrison's patron. See note for "annotation:Mr. H.R. Duff's Favorite" for more.
