ROCKY ROAD TO DUBLIN [4]. AKA and see "Loch Erroch Side," “Loch Ericht Side,” "I'm O'er Young to Marry Yet (3)," "Over the Hills to Glory," "Lass of Gowrie (The)," “Lass o' Gowrie (1),” "Lakes of Sligo (The)," “Tom Billy's Polka (2).” American, Reel. USA, southwestern Pa. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Bayard (1981) thinks the tune is descended from an air that has seen service as a reel, polka, strathspey, and song air, in versions from several genres with several titles (listed as alternates above). The title "Rocky Road to Dublin" is a 'floater', and became attached to several different tunes.
