JACKIE STEWART'S NEW REEL. AKA - "Jakie Stewart's Reel." AKA and see "Highland Man that Kissed His Grannie (1)." English, Reel (whole or cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is better-known the memorably titled "Highland Man that Kissed His Grannie (1)," published by Robert Bremner in 1757. Bremner did publish a similarly-titled "Jacky Stewart's Reel," although it is a minor-mode tune, unrelated to the Rutherford/Thompsons' reel.
