Composed by Scottish dancing master and musician Biography:Duncan MacIntyre, who may have composed "Miss MacIntosh's Jig" for the same person. The Gow's reworded "Miss MacIntosh's Favourite" into a strathspey for their Fourth Collection of Niel Gow's Reels (1800), and gave it the title "Miss Wardlaw."
