ROB ROY’S CAVE [1] (Loch Lomond). Scottish, Strathspey. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831). Rob Roy’s Cave is just North of Inversnaid on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, the largest body of freshwater in Britain. The remote cave was one of the alleged hiding places of the outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor.
