ALLEGHENY COUNTY. American, Jig or Quadrille (6/8 time). G Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the Irish slide "Kilcummin Slide (The)," which closely resembles the first strain. From the Hoge MS (No. 33, 1944), transcribed by Samuel Bayard, who notes a "general resemblance" to the second figure of "Standard Club Quadrille No. 1" in Ford Good Morning (p. 10). There is a key change to 'D' in the second part.
