CAPE WRATH. Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by the great Scottish composer and fiddler J. Scott Skinner (1841-1927). Cape Wrath lies at the north-westernmost tip of mainland Scotland in Sutherland. There are cliffs on either side of the headland, with those to the west rising to over 200 meters high. They are the site of vigorous bird colonies, especially important for gulls and auks.
