CHETSWORTH HOUSE. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, is the seat of the Duke of Devonshire, located on the banks of the River Derwent. It has been held by the Cavendish family since 1549. A different melody called "Chatsworth House," a duple-time country dance, can be found in Bride's Favourite Collection of 200 Select Country Dances, Cotillons (London, 1776).
