FAVORITE HORNPIPE [2]. AKA and see "Belles of South Boston (The)." American, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears twice in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883), as "Favorite Hornpipe" and "Belles of South Boston." However both are derivatives of "Pain's First Set of Quadrilles Figure 2," also appearing under the titles "Flora (La)," "Pinolara (La)," and "Queen of May (1) (The)."
