FORRES COUNTRY DANCE. Scottish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Forres, Moray, is an ancient site traditionally associated with MacBeth. The royal castle there has a rich, albeit bloody history, stemming from the ancient rivalry of the men of Moray and the kings of the Scots. The town suffered at the hands of Alexander, Wolf of Badenoch, in 1390 and subsequently declined.
