GARDEN OF SKYE, THE. Scottish, Air (4/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Composed by Addie Harper Sr., born at Stirkoke near Wick, north east Scotland. Sleat, the south-west pointing peninsula on the Isle of Skey in the west of Scotland, is sometimes called the ‘Garden of Skye’, because of the comparative richness of the landscape.
