GUARACHA (WALTZ) [1], THE. AKA - "Guaracha Dance." English, Waltz (3/8 time). D Major ('A' part), A Major ('B' part) & G Major ('C' and 'D' parts). Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Cahusac): AABB'CCDD' (Kennedy). The Guaracha was a type of Spanish waltz that mixed couple with group dance, and was especially popular in England in the 19th century. The melody also was entered into the c. 1830 anonymous music manuscript collection (primarily quadrilles and waltzes), predominantly in the French language[1].
