JOHNNY LEARY'S (POLKA) [1]. AKA and see "Carroll's Polka," "John Brosnan's Polka (1)," "Mick Howard's." Irish, Polka. Ireland, West Kerry. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Named for west Kerry accordion player Johnny O'Leary (Gneevgullia, Kerry), although the title is one of convenience, as, is often the case with polkas, the same tune tended to be called after a localities significant musician(s). "Art O'Keeffe's Polka (1)" is a related tune.
