MRS. E. MACLEOD. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABBC. The tune is not to be confused with the more famous "Mrs. MacLeod" or "Miss McLeod's Reel." In at least one old manuscript it has been attributed to the 18th century composer Robert 'Red Rob' Mackintosh, although the tune does not appear in any Scottish collections of dance music from the 19th and 20th century. It has been recorded by Cape Breton fiddlers Winston "Scotty" Fitzgerald and Dan R. MacDonald, of the Five MacDonald Fiddlers.
