ADIEU MA CHÉRIE. French-Canadian, Waltz (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Composed by accordion player Joseph Plante, known for his waltzes. Joseph Plane was born near Montreal and was a friend and near contemporary of accordion great Alfred Montmarquette. In his youth Plante was a tombola acrobat. His recordings were made in the early 1930’s, when Plante was in his 70’s, and he died in the mid-1930’s.
