BALKAN HILLS, THE. Scottish, March (2/4 time); Canadian, Schottishe. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'CC (Messer): AABBCCDD (Gatherer): AABB'CCDD' (Bain, Martin). A well-known Scottish march, often used for couple dances such as 'The Military Schottische'.
