Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title probably has associations with the Royal Circus of Edinburgh, established by equestrian John Bill Ricketts and John Parker in 1791. Fr. John Quinn finds versions of the title as "Glasgow Lasses (2) (The)," published earliest in London by John Walsh, and "Miss Margaret Greirson's," a reel in one of Abraham Mackintosh's collections.
