Source for notated version : - Chicago fiddler James Kennedy, who had the tune from his father, a celebrated local fiddler from Ballinamore, County Leitrim [O'Neill]. Note that County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier also entered the tune into Book 2 of his large c. 1883 music manuscript collection.
