"Bottle of Wine (The)," an alternate title, is the name of a song to the tune Breathnach collected from P. O'Loughlin (Largy), Miltown Malbay, County Clare. See also the related "Kilbride's Favourite." The tune was first recorded in 1923 by uilleann piper Tom Ennis and Sligo fiddler James Morrison, accompanied by pianist John Muller, and was famously recorded by Michael Coleman in the 1930's. The title "Kid on the Mountain" predates this, however, attached to a different tune recorded in 1898 by piper Dinney Delaney.
