KNIGHT ON THE ROAD, THE. Irish, Air (4/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. This pentatonic song, a variant of the English ballad "False Knight on the Road (The)," is still sung in County Tyrone to a variant of "Uist Tramping Song (The)" (Séan Ó Boyle, 1976).
