LADIES FAVOURITE. AKA - "Lady's Favourite." English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "The Lady's Favourite" was also entered in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter (1774-1861), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England. It also can be found in the music copybook of Welsh fiddler John Thomas, dated 1752.
