LAIRD OF STOW, THE. Scottish, Strathspey. E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831). Irregular parts; the first having the usual eight bars, the second, twelve. Stow is in the old Midlothian county of Scotland, located on the Gala Water, several miles north of Galashiels.
