Composed by Biography:Daniel Dow, appearing earliest in both his c. 1775 Ancient Scots Music (Edinburgh, p. 11), and his Twenty Minuets and Twenty Minuets and Sixteen Reels or Country Dances (c. 1775, p. 31). Dow used the title "Lord Binny('s Reel)," while Gow gave it as "Lord Binning," the courtesy title of the Earls of Haddington. See also Dow's "Lord Binny's Minuet."
