LOUGH GOWNA [1]. Irish, Air (6/8 time). G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Lough Gowna [1] straddles the border of County Longford and County Cavan, and is the uppermost lake on the River Erne. In modern times the tune was popularized by the playing of nearby County Fermanagh musician Cathal McConnell.
