LOVE FOR EVER [1]. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). England; Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune also appears in the c. 1790 music copybook collection of London musician Thomas Hammersley. Matt Seattle notes in the FARNE scans of Vickers' ms. [1] that "Christmas Day in the Morning (4)" and "Irish Girl (4) (The)" are alternate titles. Vickers himself printed a different tune under the title "Christmas Day in the Mornin' (2)."
