MISS ANN BISSET LOGIERAIT. Scottish, Reel. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in the 4th collection of Malcolm MacDonald of Dunkeld, a volume dedicated to the Countess of Breadalbane. Logierait was a village and parish in north central Perthshire, on the banks of the River Tay. The name means ‘little hollow below the castle’ and refers to an Iron Age mound, once a fortified place. Ann was perhaps one of the eleven children of the Rev. Thomas Bisset of Logierait.
