AABB'. The 'A' part of this melody is the same as Quebec fiddler Joseph Allard's "Quadrille de Beauharnois." Paul de Grae believes O'Neill obtained the tune from A. McGoun's Repository of Scots and Irish Airs , Strathspeys, and Reels, etc. (Glasgow, c. 1799)[1]. The tune can be found in early 19th century Scottish collections as "Mr. Blair of Blair's Jig."
