NORTH BRITTAINS. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 and 6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle0. AABBC. The last part changes metre to 6/8. The tune and dance instructions were printed in all four editions of London publisher John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master (1710 to 1728). It was also printed by Walsh & Randall in The New Country Dancing Master, Second Book (London, 1710) and Walsh & Hare's The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1719).
