OWRE DA MOORS TA MAGGIE. Scottish, Air (cut time). Scotland, Shetland Isles. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Pat Shuldham-Shaw records that his source, Shetland fiddler John Stickle, considered this to be one of his grand-sire Friedemann Stickle's compositions. However, Shaw says that "the resemblance to the Scottish song "Over the Moor among the Heather (2)" is too stron for it to be anything but a variant of this."
