QUADRILLE DES SEIGNEURS 4ÈME PARTIE. French-Canadian, Jig or Quadrille Part (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Quadrille des seigneurs 4ème partie" was the fourth part of a five-part quadrille set recorded by Montreal fiddler J. O. Albert LaMadeleine in 1929. The first strain is something of a floater and is shared with "St. Lawrence Jig," a popular contra dance tune in New England and Ontario, and with several other Quebecois recordings, including Isidore Soucy's "Clog canadienne," and both Joseph Allard's "Set de Vaudreuil 1ère partie" and "Reel de St-Clet."
