English; Hornpipe (2/4, whole or cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Richer's Hornpipe [2]" is a member of a large early 19th century hornpipe family with numerous titles and variants. The melody is here associated with a rope dancer named Richer (for whom see "annotation:Richer's_Hornpipe_(1)), although the unrelated melody "Richer's Hornpipe (1)" is the tune that is almost always associated with his name.
