TEMPEST [4], THE. AKA and see "Cease Rude Boreas," "Sailor's Complaint (The)," "Storm (The)." English, Air (3/4 time). This English air, unrelated to other 'Tempest' versions, was the vehicle for many songs, including the 18th century English broadside "The Saylor's Complaint" and George Alexander Stevens' "Cease, rude Boreas; or, The Storm," printed in The Muses' Delight (1754).
