THRO' THE MUIR AT NIGHT. AKA and see "Camstroden's Rant," "Dargle (The)." Scottish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. There is some resemblance to Petrie's "Hop Jig (1)" in the first strain, but the relationship is not strong. The tune is a member of the "Camstroden's Rant" tune family, dating at least the 1740's.
