WHITE BLANKET [3], THE (An Súisín Bán). Irish, Air (3/4 time). B Flat Major (O'Sullivan/Bunting). Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. O'Sullivan (1983) notes there are several versions of both air and words extant under different titles and refers to a list given in DOSB vol. 1, p. 65 (in conjunction with the song "The Twisting of the Rope"). This air retains some currency among traditional musicians today. The set dance called "White Blanket (1) (The)" may be a version of Bunting's air.
