WINDY GAP [1], THE (Bearna na Gaoithe). AKA and see "Ah Surely (1)," "Killabeg's House," "Killaghbeg House," "Bearna Gaoite," "Boys of the Twenty-Five (2)", "Bonfire (2) (The)," "Rose in the Garden (3) (The)," "Up Cloontia." Irish, Reel (whole or cut time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded in New York in 1928 as “The Windy Gap” by fiddler Packie Dolan (1904-1932), originally from County Longford. However, on most 78 RPM recordings the tune was called "Ah Surely (1)."

Source for notated version : - accordionist Sonny Brogan (Ireland) [Breathnach]. Researcher Conor Ward believes Brogan may have learned the reel from Packie Dolan’s recording.
