WINNIFRED. AKA and see "Una," "Únadh." Irish, Air or Planxty (4/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Francis O'Neill printed the tune in a section of airs attributed to Irish harper wikipedia:Turlough_O'Carolan (1670-1738). However, there is no mention of this name by Carolan researcher Donal O'Sullivan, and it does not appear in Carolan's known repertory. O'Neill's assertion for the association is unknown. However, "Winnifed" is a version of the air collected by P.W. Joyce as "Únadh," also appearing as "Una."
