WITHIN A MILE OF CLONBUR ("Mile as Cluain-Burris" or "I ngoire mile o Cluain-Burris"). AKA and see “Burn's Reel,” "Byrne's Reel, "Miss Byrne's Reel.” Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (O'Neill/1850 & 1001): AA'BB' (O'Neill/Krassen). The tune appears in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (Boston, 1883), but was one of more than a dozen tunes not included when the publication was transformed into Cole’s 1000 Fiddle Tunes (1940). It was appropriated, along with a number of other tunes, by Francis O'Neill for his Music of Ireland (1903). The melody was printed in The Northern Fiddler under the title “Byrne’s Reel.”
