YOU'LL NEVER BE ANY GOOD (Ni beid tu aon mait go brat). AKA and see "Irish Lilt (7)." Irish, March (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is a re-titling of the Scottish melody "Over the Water to Charlie," long known in Ireland as well. R.M. Levey (Dance Music of Ireland, 1858) and P.H. Hughes (Gems of Ireland, c. 1860's) both printed untitled versions.
