BELLA UNION. American, Reel. E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by R. Tyson, about whom nothing is known. He was a performer as well as composer however, for his name is referenced elsewhere in Ryan's Mammoth as "performed by R. Tyson." New York researcher, writer and musician Don Meade believes this tune was named for San Francisco's Bella Union, a "melodeon" or variety theatre.
