COME INTO THE TOWN. Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. County Clare whistle player Micho Russell called the tune "Come into the Town My Fair Lady." It was also in the repertoire of County Clare concertina player Packie Russell (1920-1977) and was a favorite of County Mayo accordion player Dermot Grogan (1958-2006). It can be heard as "The Goldfield" on the CD "Pathway to the Well" by Matt Molloy & John Carty with Arty McGlynn.

Source for notated version: fiddler Jimmy Murphy (b. 1938, Meelick, near Swinford, Co. Sligo) [Flaherty].

Printed source: Flaherty (Trip to Sligo), 1990; p. 42 (appears as "Unknown").
