CROSS THE WATER. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. One of the "missing tunes" from Willian Vickers' 1770 Northumbrian dance tune manuscript. It was first printed by London publisher Charles and Samuel Thompson in their 1765 country dance collection.
