TRY SCOLER.  AKA - "Three Scholars." English, Jig (6/8 time).  England, Cornwall. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The tune is a variant on "Irish Washerwoman (1)," and was played, with variations, until "the dancers dropped."

Merv Davey (1983) writes: "This tune was sent to George Gardiner by C.S. Parsonson in 1905. He had noted this tune from a Thomas Bennet of School Hill, South Petherwin."
