HUGH McARDLE'S FANCY (Roga Aed Mic Arduil). Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. O'Neill also prints a jig called "McArdle's Favorite," also transcribed by James O'Neill, and it may be the tunes were from the same source.

Source for notated version: Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill, a fiddler originally from County Down and Francis O'Neill's collaborator [O'Neill].

Printed sources: O'Neill (Krassen), 1976; p. 192. O'Neill (Music of Ireland: 1850 Melodies), 1903; No. 1680, p. 312.
